Review for Essence Cosmetics

So I'm sure you all know by now that I'm a make-up junkie. I'm always on the look out for quality make-up that's not going to break the bank and that's not always an easy task. There are alot of different brands out there that make inexpensive make-up but most of the time the quality matches the price, cheap! That has all changed now that I have found essence! They make good, quality cosmetics for face, eyes, lips and nails all for under $5!

Since its launch in 2002, essence stands for trendy and high quality cosmetics at a sensational low price. How is this possible you may ask? The essence brand does without costly advertisements using models or celebrities, expensive tv spots or print ads in magazines. instead, essence invests in the development of premium products at a consistently high level of quality. This principle applies to the selection of our production plants as well as for all manufacturing process steps from the very beginning until the completion of our final products. Because of all that we reap the benefits, quality cosmetics at a great price! Oh, and they don't test on animals either!

Fall is now upon us and so is essence Fall/Winter 2012 collection! Here's what's new from essence in their Fall/Winter collection-2 new concealers,3 new shades for both their lipstick and lip glosses, 2 new shades in each of their mono, quattro, and all day long lasting eyeshadow lines,2 new eye pencils,2 new eyeliner pens,2 new liquid ink liners, eyeshadow base, mascara, lash powder and 18 new shades of nail polish. Phew, everyone got that?! So, in short, they got something for everyone!

I think essence has been stalking me because they sent me three of my beauty must haves- a black eyeliner pen, mascara, and nail polish!!! All things I wear on a daily basis so I could really put it to the test.

essence colour & go nail polish in gorgeous bling bling - srp $ 1.99

What a great color for fall! This totally reminds me of pumpkin pie. Gorgeous bling bling is a deep burnt orange with tiny flakes of gold in it. All the polishes come in cute 8ml bottles and all the caps match the color of polish in the bottles! I'm a sucker for coordination. The brush is a little smaller and a different shape than what I normally see but it works really well. I found the smaller cap and brush were easier to work with. As for the polish itself, it went on smooth, dried quickly and last two weeks with minimal chipping or wear. I've used ALOT of different brands of polish and this holds up just as well as the more expensive ones. All of their polishes are free of harmful ingredients such as formaldehyde, toluene, and emollient phthalate.

essence splash- proof eyeliner pen in black- srp $3.49

I love, love, love black eyeliner and liquid eyeliner pens have become my favorite type to use. Let me tell you how in love I am with this pen from essence! It has an ultra fine tip that is awesome to work with. It's a bold black liner that comes out so smooth and the fine tip is great for thin lines and the winged look. It's 100% water-proof and stayed in place, looking great all day but came of easily with make-up remover. I usually use the same type of liner pens from either E.L.F or Maybelline and this was just as good as them.

essence multi action blackest black mascara- srp $3.99

I think a good mascara is a beauty staple. The label doesn't lie, it is super black with its carbon pigments. The mascara has one of those thick, straight brushes to apply it with.I found that it was a creamy mascara that went on smoothly without clumping. As far as it being multi action I found that my lashes had more volume and length but I didn't see much more curve but used with an eyelash curler you should be fine. All in I say it's a pretty good mascara for the price.

So if you're looking for some good make-up that is inexpensive I would check out what essence has to offer. You can get all their great products at Fred Meyer, H-E-B, ULTA Stores and Ulta.com

* i received these items for free in exchange for my honest opinion. These are my own opinions and may differ from yours.
